Jonah Hill explains why he moved from Los Angeles with Olivia Millar and kids

Jonah Hill discussed his choice to move away from Los Angeles with his wife, Olivia Millar, and their two children during a recent "SmartLess" podcast event on Saturday, as reported by People.

"So, I reside in a quaint town in San Diego, [California]," the actor, aged 42, shared with the crowd this weekend. "When we welcomed our first child, we relocated three years ago."

The couple notably began their family in 2023.

"I wanted to leave L.A. and raise my family away from Los Angeles," the "Outcome" star explained, mentioning he commutes to Hollywood for work.

Hill expressed his admiration for his "amazing" and "cool" neighbors.

"They never act strange or inquire about my job or anything," he said. "And one of my closest friends, Dr. Sean, is my neighbor. … He never bothered me or asked questions like, ‘Oh, what’s this person like?’”

The Oscar nominee, who revealed earlier this month his marriage to Millar and the birth of their second child, mentioned he enjoyed growing up in Hollywood during the ’90s.

"You could skateboard downtown, crash a movie premiere, or sneak into a comedy club to see Chris Rock or someone else," he recollected.

"You had chances to experience the entertainment scene, and also punk, skating, graffiti, and all the rebellious stuff," Hill added. "And there was no internet back then. It was just so fantastic."

During another segment of the podcast with co-hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, Hill gave a "shoutout to [his] beautiful wife" who was in attendance.

Hill described Millar as his closest friend and greeted, "What’s up, baby?"

The pair began sparking romance rumors in 2022 after the vintage boutique co-founder revealed her baby bump the subsequent year.

Following Millar giving birth in the summer of 2023, Hill’s ex Sarah Brady accused the Golden Globe nominee of emotional abuse and shared screenshots of their conversations from when they were together.

Brady, 29, explained her "waiting" decision until Hill was a father to publicly address him in a July 2023 voice recording shared on Instagram.

"I didn’t want [Millar] to encounter all of this while she was expecting because I was uncertain of the stress it might impose on her and the baby physically," she stated, expressing her hope that Millar would "make an informed choice about how she'd care for herself and the child."

Hill, who removed his account from social media in 2022, has stayed silent regarding the controversy.
