Pamela Anderson rejects C.J. Parker comeback in upcoming ‘Baywatch’ revival

Pamela Anderson has decided not to return to her iconic role in the upcoming reboot of Baywatch, signaling a clear step away from the franchise that helped define her career.

The 58-year-old actress, who became a global pop culture figure as lifeguard C.J. Parker in the original series, reportedly declined an offer to appear in Fox’s new version currently in production for the 2026–2027 television season.

A source close to the production said Anderson was approached but chose not to participate, adding that she is “done with that chapter” and focused on her future rather than revisiting her past.

The insider noted that the reboot is being developed as a modern reimagining of the hit series, with producers prioritizing a new cast and updated storytelling rather than relying heavily on nostalgia.

The original Baywatch, which aired from 1989 to 2001, became one of the most-watched shows in the world and turned Anderson into an international star alongside actors such as David Hasselhoff and Carmen Electra.

In recent years, Anderson has increasingly distanced herself from Hollywood’s image-driven spotlight, focusing instead on personal projects, activism, and selective acting roles.

Her decision not to return aligns with a broader trend of legacy television stars stepping away from franchise reboots, even as studios continue reviving popular titles from past decades.

Despite Anderson’s absence, the Baywatch revival is moving forward with new and returning faces.

Erika Eleniak is set to reprise her role as Shauni McClain, reimagined as a former lifeguard-turned-city councilwoman who returns to the beach for a competitive event.

The new series will also feature Stephen Amell in a leading role, alongside a fresh ensemble cast including Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, and Livvy Dunne.

While speculation had circulated about possible cameo appearances from original stars, Anderson’s stance appears final, with insiders indicating she has no intention of revisiting the role in any form.
