The Reagan family legacy took centre stage in the latest episode of CBS’s Boston Blue, titled "L'Dor Vador," which aired on Friday.

The episode marked the significant return of Bridget Moynahan as Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan, who travelled to Boston to assist her brother, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), and his partner, Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), in a high-stakes hunt for a serial killer named Abraham.

The episode reached a dramatic climax when the suspect lured the siblings to an abandoned bus park, eventually holding Danny at gunpoint. In a moment of calculated precision, Erin uttered the phrase, "Please don't hurt my family."

This served as a tactical code—a tradition passed down from their grandfather and father, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck)—signalling Danny to drop for cover while Erin opened fire.

The move allowed the Boston Police Department to take the suspect into custody and successfully locate a missing girl. "I might live a few hundred miles away from New York," Danny remarked during the episode, "but the Reagan traditions live on right here."

Parallel to the criminal investigation, the episode explored the personal life of Detective Lena Silver. Following a revelation from her mother, DA Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben), Lena identified her biological father and discovered she may have a half-sister.

While her grandfather, Rev. Edwin Peters (Ernie Hudson), survived a health scare earlier in the hour, Lena ultimately decided to delay introducing herself to her newfound relative.

Boston Blue continues to air Fridays on CBS, bridging the gap between the gritty streets of Boston and the established lore of the Blue Bloods universe.
