Romeo Beckham, Kim Delight at Met Gala afterparty while Brooklyn skips event again over family feud

Romeo Beckham and his partner Kim appeared quite smitten at the Met Gala's afterparty on Monday night.

The 23-year-old and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 24, arrived at the afterparty looking very much in love, dressed in coordinated black ensembles after he turned heads with his stylish outfit at the main event.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham managed to avoid an encounter with his brother Brooklyn, 27, who chose to miss the occasion for the second year running due to a rift with his family.

Initially, it was speculated that both Romeo and Brooklyn would attend the event with their partners, but ultimately, only Romeo made an appearance.

Last year, Brooklyn and Nicola also skipped the Met Gala during the height of their family conflict, despite having attended three times together in 2021, 2022, and 2023, with Brooklyn going alone in 2024.

Earlier this year, Brooklyn released a dramatic statement criticizing his "controlling" parents and declared he would not patch things up with them – leaving his siblings distanced from him as well.

Reports suggest that Brooklyn has blocked his whole family, including parents David and Victoria, and brothers Romeo and Cruz, on Instagram.

In spite of the situation, Romeo confidently sported a sophisticated black-on-black jacket and pants ensemble at the event.

He mirrored his father's style with leather lapels, a plongé leather shirt, tie, and an embroidered scarf, adorned with exquisite De Beers London diamond jewelry.

Romeo's brother Cruz expressed his support during Romeo's debut at the Met Gala.

On social media, Cruz shared a clip of the red carpet livestream, captioning it, "There he is," as his brother came into view.

For the afterparty, Romeo and his girlfriend Kim exuded affection as they attended the function hosted by Saint Laurent.

Romeo wore a simple black shirt with black trousers, while Kim donned a black top paired with a black skirt.

Victoria recently addressed the family tensions last month.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, she mentioned, "We’ve always strived to be the best parents possible.

"Having been in the public eye for over 30 years now, our main goal has always been to protect and cherish our children.

"And honestly, that's all I really have to say on the subject."

In addition to being parents to Romeo and Brooklyn, the famous couple also have Cruz Beckham, 21, and Harper Beckham, 14.
