THESE 3 breakfast foods can improve digestion and keep you full, says expert

Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a California-based gastroenterologist trained at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Harvard University and Stanford University, has shared three foods he eats every morning to support gut health and overall wellness.

In a recent Instagram post, Dr. Sethi said that a balanced breakfast can improve digestion, stabilise energy levels and help maintain satiety throughout the day.

The first item on his list is boiled eggs, which he described as an excellent source of complete protein.

According to Dr. Sethi, eggs support gut lining repair and provide nutrients such as choline, lutein and zeaxanthin, which benefit brain and eye health.

He also recommends chia seeds, which are rich in soluble fiber. When soaked overnight, chia seeds form a gel that slows sugar absorption, nourishes beneficial gut bacteria and promotes regular bowel movements.

The third staple in his breakfast routine is Greek yogurt. Dr. Sethi said plain, full-fat Greek yogurt with live cultures helps feed the gut microbiome while its high protein content keeps people feeling full for longer.

Together, these three foods offer a combination of protein, probiotics and fiber, which Dr. Sethi says can help support digestion and improve overall health when included regularly in the diet.
