Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer separates from husband Francesco Carrozzini
Their split comes shortly after they were seen together at the 2026 Met Gala in New York City
Bee Shaffer, the daughter of Anna Wintour, has separated from her husband Francesco Carrozzini after nearly eight years of marriage, the pair have confirmed.
The 38-year-old theatre producer and Carrozzini, 43, said they have decided to part ways but remain committed to co-parenting their four-year-old son, Oliver.
In a joint statement to Page Six, the former couple said their relationship had evolved over time but their friendship and shared responsibilities as parents remain unchanged.
“After 10 wonderful years together, we have decided to separate,” they said.
“Although our career paths led us in different directions, we remain the very best of friends and devoted, committed parents to our son.
This is the only statement we will make, and we respectfully ask for privacy.”
Their separation comes shortly after they were seen together at the 2026 Met Gala in New York City on May 6, an event chaired by Bee Shaffer’s mother, Anna Wintour, who serves as a leading figure in the fashion world.
Bee Shaffer and Carrozzini first met in 2016 after she attended a screening of his documentary Franca: Chaos and Creation, which explored the life of his late mother, Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.
The couple became engaged the following year and married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony held at Wintour’s Long Island home, officiated by actor Colin Firth.
They later celebrated with a second wedding event in Portofino, Italy.
Over the years, Shaffer has occasionally spoken about growing up as the daughter of Anna Wintour, noting the public fascination surrounding her mother’s influence following the cultural impact of The Devil Wears Prada.
She has previously described her mother as disciplined and generous, saying that punctuality is one of the few traits they strongly share.
Wintour was previously married to psychiatrist David Shaffer, with whom she shares two children, including Bee.
Despite their separation, Shaffer and Carrozzini have emphasised their continued commitment to family life and maintaining a respectful relationship moving forward.
