Benedict Cumberbatch presents a Global Sustainability Award for King's Trust International

Benedict Cumberbatch has presented a Global Sustainability Award on behalf of the King's Trust International, a charity founded by King Charles III, in his capacity as an ambassador for the organisation.

The Doctor Strange actor is an active supporter of the charity, which was established by King Charles to help young people build confidence and develop skills for employment. Cumberbatch regularly attends the organisation's global events and anniversary celebrations.

This year's winner

According to a statement from the charity, this year's award was presented to Shannon, who was inspired to act by challenges he witnessed during his military service and has since dedicated himself to tackling water scarcity and plastic waste through sustainable, on-site water solutions.

"Through the Enterprise Accelerator programme, delivered by Kings Trust Australia, Shannon developed the strategy and commercial skills to bring his idea to life.

"His business, Aqua Ubique, creates clean drinking water from air, reducing reliance on bottled water while improving access in remote communities," the statement read.

The charity added: "His model also ensures that for every five commercial units installed, one is donated to a First Nations community, combining environmental impact with social good."
