The model says she must leave her Manhattan apartment just four days before her wedding
Model and actress Paulina Porizkova has revealed that she and fiancé Jeff Greenstein are facing an unexpected housing crisis just days before their wedding in Italy.
Speaking on their Twenty Good Summers podcast, Porizkova said the couple must leave her Manhattan apartment after the landlord declined to renew the lease, forcing them to move out only four days before their wedding.
“We're kind of getting evicted,” Porizkova explained, adding that she had asked for an extension but was unsuccessful.
The 61-year-old model said the timing has made an already significant life transition even more challenging, noting that she and Greenstein will return from their wedding without a permanent home in New York.
The apartment holds special meaning for Porizkova, who has lived there since 2021.
She described it as the first home she had entirely to herself since the age of 18, a place where she found independence and personal growth following major changes in her life.
According to Porizkova, the residence allowed her to create a space without compromise and became a source of comfort and stability.
Reflecting on the situation, she acknowledged that both she and Greenstein are effectively starting over.
“We are both over 60, and we are starting again,” she said.
Despite the setback, the couple stressed that they have temporary options while searching for a new home.
Porizkova co-owns a country house with her sons, Jonathan Ocasek and Oliver Ocasek, which could serve as a temporary residence. They also still have access to Greenstein’s Los Angeles home, although it is currently being prepared for sale.
Greenstein described the situation as unexpected and far from what they had envisioned for the weeks surrounding their wedding.
The couple revealed they have been actively searching for a new Manhattan apartment but have repeatedly encountered obstacles after nearing lease agreements.
While frustrated by the circumstances, both expressed optimism that they will eventually find the right place to begin their married life together.
Porizkova and Greenstein announced their engagement in July 2025 after two years of dating. The model was previously married to Ric Ocasek, with whom she shared a 28-year marriage before their separation in 2018.
