Chris Brown reportedly paid victim $40,000 amid ongoing dog attack lawsuit

Chris Brown is said to have paid approximately $40,000 to a former housekeeper who was allegedly injured in a dog attack at one of his properties, according to reports cited in ongoing legal proceedings.

The 37-year-old singer, who is currently facing multiple legal allegations in a separate case, allegedly issued payments in cash and personal checks before and shortly after Christmas in 2020. Sources claim Brown expressed sympathy for the victim, stating he “felt sorry for the family” following the incident.

According to reporting, the payments were made to a former employee identified in legal filings, who was reportedly injured after being attacked by one of Brown’s dogs while working at his residence.

The former housekeeper has since filed a lawsuit seeking $90 million in damages, claiming serious injuries resulting from the incident. As part of the legal action, she has also submitted photographs of her injuries as evidence.

The plaintiff is additionally asking the court to prevent Brown from introducing documentation of the payments, arguing that the financial assistance does not negate or disprove the alleged incident.

Legal proceedings remain ongoing, and no final judgment has been issued.

Brown has not publicly commented on the latest developments. The claims have not been independently verified.

Meanwhile, the singer is expected to embark on a joint “R&B Tour” with Usher, scheduled to begin on June 26, 2026.
