Alex Cooper has publicly dismissed rumours of a split from her husband, Matt Kaplan, telling listeners of her Call Her Daddy podcast that the couple are doing well and expecting their first child together.

Cooper, 31, addressed the speculation directly on the latest episode of the show, tracing the rumours back to the couple's joint appearance on the red carpet at the 2026 YouTube Upfront last month.

The red carpet moment that sparked speculation

Rather than a sign of marital trouble, Cooper revealed that the couple's subdued demeanour at the event was entirely intentional. "The only rumors that actually came from the carpet were just how miserable my husband and I looked," she said.

She added: "To see people overanalyzing Matt and me as we were earnestly trying to hide this pregnancy, I was so relieved that they were talking about our dynamic, our supposed marital issues, and no one was talking about a potential bump." Cooper called it "a win for the Cooper-Kaplans that day."

'We are? What's happening?'

Cooper was direct in pushing back against the idea that the marriage was in difficulty. "You read those things, and Matt and I are like, no one in our life, our closest friends, our family, is wondering those things," she said. She continued: "It is crazy to see the internet be like, 'Oh my God, they're on the rocks.' And we're like, 'Wait, wait. We are? What's happening?' I think that is an odd part of the job that I don't enjoy."

She closed the topic firmly, saying: "Matt and I are good. No one needs to worry. Matt and I are great." Cooper and Kaplan exchanged vows in April 2024 in Mexico.
