Inside Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s split: New court documents shed light
New filings confirm key details in Jelly Roll’s split from Bunnie Xo after nearly a decade together
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo officially separated earlier this year, with new divorce documents revealing additional details about the timeline of their split and the financial arrangements now being worked out between the two.
According to court filings obtained by Page Six, the couple separated on May 9, 2026, one week before the Grammy-winning artist filed for divorce on May 18.
In the documents, Jelly Roll—whose legal name is Jason Bradley DeFord—cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending the marriage.
The filings also indicate that the former couple intends to submit an agreement outlining the division of their assets and debts as part of the ongoing legal process.
The updated timeline comes shortly after reports confirmed that Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo had ended their relationship following nearly a decade together.
The pair married in 2016 and later renewed their vows in 2023.
Hints of strain in the relationship reportedly surfaced in the weeks leading up to the filing.
Jelly Roll was seen without his wedding ring at the 2026 CMA Fest in Nashville in early June, while fans also noted he had not been wearing the band in recent social media posts.
Some speculated the change may have been linked to his recent weight loss.
Bunnie Xo, meanwhile, shared a series of cryptic social media posts around the time of the breakup news, including reflections on “women’s intuition” and posts referencing “getting her sparkle back.”
The couple has not publicly commented on the separation or ongoing divorce proceedings.
