Summer House cast member West Wilson has revealed he told Amanda Batula he loved her on the night of her explosive argument with then-husband Kyle Cooke — a confession he made directly to Cooke himself during an emotional sit-down aired on Summer House: The Aftermath.

The confession that changed everything

Wilson disclosed the moment during a candid, face-to-face conversation with Cooke, the Loverboy founder and Batula's estranged husband. When Cooke asked him directly whether he loves Batula, Wilson not only confirmed that he does but pinpointed exactly when he first said it. "I mean yeah. I said 'I love you' that night I left your guys' room to her," Wilson told Cooke.

The moment in question occurred during a heated episode of the Bravo series filmed in August 2025, in which Wilson entered Cooke and Batula's room late at night to find Batula alone in bed following their blowout fight. He was seen telling her: "Love you, OK? Text me if you need anything."

Wilson insists romance only began in February

Despite the weight of that admission, Wilson was firm that his relationship with Batula did not turn romantic until February — well after the summer filming period. "I get everyone wants to go back and watch the show and be like, 'They were hooking up.' We weren't," he said.

He also clarified the nature of his feelings at the time, telling Cooke: "I haven't gotten to the point where I've told her or myself that I'm in love or not. But I do love her and have. I have cared about her for a long time. And it's hard to say that right to your face." Wilson added: "I really care about her a f–k ton."

A three-hour conversation with Cooke

The sit-down between Wilson, 31, and Cooke was described as lengthy and unexpectedly civil, lasting approximately three hours and taking place weeks after the Summer House Season 10 reunion wrapped filming. Wilson later reflected on the exchange during a May episode of his podcast Show Me Something, which he co-hosts with Sophie Cunningham.

"I'm not gonna say [things are] good," he said. "Like, nothing's perfect right now." He went on to describe the atmosphere of the meeting: "It was obviously awkward and weird to start, but … it was not a gunfight. It was very calm and peaceful. [We were] trying to hear each other and get to a better place." Wilson also expressed hope that Cooke would come to understand the depth of his care for Batula and that it would "at least lighten the worry" he feels for his estranged wife. He closed the conversation by telling Cooke: "No matter how this shakes out, I appreciate you talking to me today."

Cooke's emotional affair accusation

Wilson and Batula, 34, went public with their relationship in March — two months after Batula and Cooke announced their separation. Cooke subsequently accused Batula of conducting an "emotional affair" with Wilson during their marriage after watching back footage from Season 10, though Batula vehemently denied the accusation when confronted by Cooke in April. Both Wilson and Batula have consistently maintained that their relationship did not overlap with any others, a position they also held when challenged by co-stars at the Season 10 reunion.

Ciara Miller cuts ties

The relationship also fractured another close bond. Batula's former best friend and Wilson's ex-girlfriend, Summer House co-star Ciara Miller, felt betrayed by both of them. Miller, who dated Wilson in 2023, has made clear she intends to cut ties with both permanently. Cooke, by contrast, appears to be moving towards forgiveness. Wilson's future on the show also remains uncertain, with reports suggesting he was "not picked up" by production ahead of Season 11 filming, which is set to begin over the Fourth of July weekend.
