Actress Amber Heard, 40, shared a rare social media update on Sunday, 21 June, after completing the KLM Norte Sur 10K race in Madrid — posting photographs of herself in a pink sports bra and matching jogging shorts and cradling her five-year-old daughter Oonagh at the finish line. "First race glow," she captioned the Instagram post, with additional photos shared to her Instagram Stories. Heard wrote "Nothing beats this feeling" across the photo of her and Oonagh after crossing the line.

Life in Madrid since 2022

Heard relocated from the United States to Spain in 2022 following her high-profile defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp, spending time initially on the island of Mallorca before permanently settling in Madrid. She is frequently photographed jogging through the city in athletic wear and has long spoken openly about running as a form of stress relief. In addition to Oonagh, Heard is also mother to 12-month-old twins Agnes and Ocean.

Running as a way of life

Heard's passion for running dates back well before her move to Europe. "I like running because it's a way for me to alleviate stress, clear my mind, and refocus," she told Shape in 2018. "Plus I can do it anywhere. I travel so much that it's invaluable to me to have something that keeps me healthy and feeling good no matter where I am."

She has also spoken about the importance of finding joy in fitness rather than making it a source of pressure. "If you're not going to enjoy life, there's no point in eating a certain way and working out and doing all the things actors do to manipulate how we look — and how the world looks at us," she said. "When I'm not preparing for a movie, I have more freedom, and I incorporate my workout into my life, so that I enjoy it and it doesn't feel like an obligation," she added in the same interview.

Settled in Spain and focused on family

Heard has largely withdrawn from the public eye since the 2022 trial. She is fluent in Spanish and, in a TikTok video posted in May 2023, told local reporters that she loves living in Spain and intends to stay. Since settling in Madrid, she has focused primarily on raising her three children.
