Keith Urban posts birthday tribute to Nicole Kidman months after divorce

Keith Urban has sent a birthday message to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, months after the pair finalised their divorce.

The country singer posted an Instagram Story on Saturday, June 20, reading: “Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!” against a blue and purple background. Kidman, whose full name is Nicole Mary Kidman, turned 59.

Kidman did not publicly respond to Urban’s message, but she appeared to acknowledge him on Father’s Day the following day. She shared a black-and-white childhood photo with her late father, Antony Kidman, alongside a throwback image of Urban with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” she wrote.

Urban and Kidman finalised their divorce in January after 19 years of marriage. Court documents indicated the former couple waived rights to child and spousal support, with their daughters primarily living with Kidman.

Reports in April suggested Sunday briefly unfollowed her father on Instagram before refollowing him hours later. Sources also claimed the children were leaning towards their mother during the split, though neither Kidman nor Urban has commented on those reports.

Despite the divorce, recent social media posts suggest the former couple remain publicly cordial, with both acknowledging family milestones.

Kidman also marked her birthday on Instagram, sharing a sunlit photo of herself outdoors with the caption: “Another trip around the sun (sun emoji followed by heart emoji) Thank you for all the birthday love xx #SummerSolsticeBaby.”

She received birthday wishes from several high-profile friends, including Natalie Portman, Kerry Washington, Michelle Pfeiffer and Mariska Hargitay.
