Travis Kelce resumes Chiefs training after Taylor Swift wedding

Travis Kelce has returned to training ahead of the upcoming NFL season, less than two weeks after marrying Taylor Swift, as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end begins preparations for his 14th campaign with the franchise.

Kelce spotted back in training

People reported the 36-year-old was photographed working out in Florida on July 16, wearing a black T-shirt and grey athletic shorts as he resumed offseason training.

The workout comes shortly after Kelce and Swift exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden on July 3 in front of an estimated 1,000 guests.

Chiefs star committed to another NFL season

Kelce confirmed in March that he would return for another season with the Chiefs after months of speculation about his future.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, the Super Bowl champion announced his decision to postpone retirement.

"Let's go! Making another run at it, baby, and the Chiefs are making moves, Pat," Kelce said.

He also credited his now-wife for encouraging his decision to continue playing.

"We share the same love for what we do, and we've had this... desire," Kelce said at the time. "I'm still in love with this game."

Kelce's previous season ended with the Chiefs' playoff elimination in December 2025, marking the franchise's earliest postseason exit in a decade after a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Contract details and wedding celebrations

A day before Kelce announced his return, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the tight end's contract is worth at least $12 million, with incentives pushing its maximum value to $15 million. According to ESPN, Kelce informed the Chiefs of his decision before the start of free agency.

Meanwhile, guests have continued sharing details from the couple's lavish wedding celebration.

Pat McAfee described the ceremony during the July 13 edition of The Pat McAfee Show as "the most spectacular evening I've ever been a part of."

"The football world coming together with Hollywood and Nashville... It was the greatest night of all time," he said.

Celebrity guests praise the celebration

Actor Eric Stonestreet, who attended the ceremony, also praised the event.

"It was awesome," the Modern Family star told PEOPLE.

"I think my favorite moment was just that they created a place that they could have the normalcy that they deserve. And it just happened to be at Madison Square Garden with security making sure everybody was safe and good and they could just have a night for themselves."

The wedding reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests, including Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Sabrina Carpenter, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Seth Meyers, Jason Kelce, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and Niecy Nash-Betts, among many others.
