D4vd's Amazon orders revealed in teen murder hearing

Prosecutors detailed D4vd's alleged online purchases during a preliminary hearing, claiming the singer bought cadaver bags, chainsaws and a shovel after 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez disappeared.

The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, appeared in court on Tuesday as Detective Joshua Byers testified about items allegedly found in Burke's online shopping history.

Detective outlines alleged purchases

According to the detective, Burke allegedly bought two "City Morgue" cadaver bags on May 5, 2025, a shovel on April 24, one day after prosecutors believe Hernandez was killed, and three chainsaws between May 1 and May 4.

Byers also testified that investigators found purchases for a blue inflatable pool, heavy-duty laundry bags and a mop-and-bucket set.

Prosecutors outline allegations

Prosecutors allege Burke fatally stabbed Hernandez on April 23, 2025, before later dismembering her body and leaving the remains inside the front trunk of his Tesla, which was recovered months later in Los Angeles.

The teenager's remains were discovered after police investigated reports of a foul odour coming from the abandoned vehicle.

Singer denies charges

Burke, 21, has pleaded not guilty to charges including murder with special circumstances, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 and unlawful mutilation of human remains.

His legal team has denied the allegations, maintaining he was not responsible for Hernandez's death and saying they intend to vigorously defend him in court.

If convicted of the murder charge with special circumstances, Burke could face life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty, although prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek capital punishment.
