The seven Artificial Intelligence (A.I) companies in the United States have voluntarily agreed to implement white house’s AI guidelines during the technology development  meeting with the U.S President Joe Biden .

The above mentioned move aims to address the risks associated with the rapid advancements in A.I while acknowledging their competition over its potential.

The companies involved in the commitment are Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Inflection, Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI.

They made a formal announcement regarding their dedication to adhering to new standards concerning safety, security, and trust during a meeting with the U.S  President Joe Biden at the White House.

Biden said, “We must be cleareyed and vigilant about the threats emerging from emerging technologies that can pose — don’t have to but can pose — to our democracy and our values.”

The announcement comes amidst intense competition among the companies, as they strive to outperform each other with A.I. 

However, concerns have also been raised about the risks of misinformation and the potential dangers of self-aware computers leading to an "risk of extinction."
