Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes part ways after filing divorce

Sophia Bush ended her 13 months marriage with Grant Hughes on Friday.

According to the People, Sophia, 41, has filed for divorce from her husband Grant after over a year of marriage.

The source with a close connection with the couple disclosed, "Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.” 

They further added, “They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends."

Sophia and Grant's separation news comes seven weeks after the Incredibles 2 star poured her love on the Instagram for her now ex-husband.

"Today marks 365 days of calling you 'husband,'" sharing a throwback photo of the wedding, "Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary."

Grant also showed his love by posting on Instagram, "What a full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, growth-filled year we've had together. I truly love doing life with you!" He further wrote, "Ecstatically excited for all the adventures ahead!"

Prior to the divorce news, Sophia had to leave her West End production of 2:22 A Ghost Story prematurely due to falling ill with a virus that affected the company.

The One Tree Hill star and entrepreneur Grant tied the knot in June 2022 at the City County Clerk's Office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sophia Bush previously married to her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray from 2005-2006 and announced their split after five months.
