Chris Evans, the joyful dog owner visited Animal Haven in New York City ahead of National Dog Day on August 26.

Evans shared a video, saying, “There are literally thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted all across the country, just like my dog Dodger."

In the video, Evans met Animal Haven's executive director, Tiffany A. Lacey, who showed him to several available dogs housed in the shelter's kennels.

The Captain America star met Pippa, an active puppy with a "bum" hind limb, Akira, a shy young dog working on her social abilities, and a few more canines, all of whom receive coos and cuddles from the Evans.

The 42-year-old spent hours handing out tasty goodies, hugging, and giving these infants belly massages.

The video concluded with the Gifted star covered in a swarm of happy pups.

The Ghosted actor opened up about his collaboration with Jinx to PEOPLE last year: “You're always looking for things like this in my profession, finding companies or products that align with your passions, and obviously everyone knows how much I love dogs.

He continued, “Meeting with everyone at Jinx, they not only share the passion, but they have a fantastic product that my dog loves, so it was kind of a no-brainer."

The Push star has previously stated that adopting Dodger from the pound was the 'greatest choice' he's ever made.

Further, Jinx and Evans shared the mission of delivering high-quality pet food to all animals, particularly those in shelters.
