Kajol's Deepfake video takes social media by storm

Kajol’s digitally altered video of changing clothes on camera has taken the internet by storm leaving people in a dilemma  of differentiating reality from the AI.

As reported by BoomLive and several other media outlets, in reality the video is actually of an English social media influencer who had uploaded a "Get Ready With Me" video.

The Deepfake video  of the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress surfaced onto the internet a few days ago leading many viewers to believe that it was in fact the actress herself who was in the video changing her attire.

Later on, It was pointed out by several platforms that the video had been digitally altered using Artificial Intelligence tools and technology that have impeccable ability to fabricate and alter content.

The original influencer in the video has been identified as Rosie Breen, who originally posted the video on TikTok on June 5, 2023.

But in the edited video which is now going viral online, Breen's face seems to have been altered to depict as if it's the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham actress herself, showing off her body on camera while changing her clothes.

This latest video of the Dilwale Dhulania Le Jayengay actress emerged a few days after global concerns revolving around Deepfake and its misuse started growing, when famous actresses such as Katrina Kaif and Rashmika Mandanna became a target.

In Kaif’s case, an AI generated picture of the actress went viral. Originally the picture was from the movie Tiger 3 where the actress was fighting a stuntwoman draped in a towel. 

The digitally altered version showed the actress in a white top and matching bottom.

In Rashmika Mandanna’s case, an anonymous woman dressed in all black was seen walking out an elevator. 

The actress’ face was morphed onto the woman leading people to believe it was actually the Geetha Govindam actress.
