Hannah Husain has etched her name in history as the inaugural Pakistani debutante to grace the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes held in Paris.

Held annually in November in Paris, the gathering assembles 20 to 25 debutantes ranging from 16 to 22 years old.

Distinguished as the sole invitation-only debutante ball, this exclusive occasion features contemporary royals, young socialites, and philanthropists hailing from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S., all accompanied by their parents.

Husain, serving as the Pakistani representative at the occasion, is the great-great-grandchild of Sir Fazle Husain, a distinguished barrister, Education Minister, and the founder of the Unionist party in India.

According to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, her great-grandfather held the position of Pakistani Ambassador to Beirut, Lebanon.

Accompanied by her brother Harris, Husain elegantly showcased exquisite creations by Georges Hobeika and Elie Saab.

The glamorous affair unfolded at Shangri-La Paris, the historical residence once owned by Napoleon Bonaparte's nephew.

Other  debutantes  at Le Bal:

Among the six debutantes showcased in this year's event were Advaitesha Birla, the great-great-granddaughter of GD Birla, and Skye Wong, hailing from the families behind the Bank of East Asia and Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong.

Ophélie Renouard orchestrates the ball with the goal of fundraising for the cardiology research unit ARCFA at Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital, dedicated to treating children globally with heart defects, and World Central Kitchen, offering meals to communities in need during global crises.

Commencing as a social gathering in 1958 at the iconic Château de Versailles, the ball experienced a pause in 1968 amid labor unrest in France.

In 1992, Ophélie Renouard revitalized it as an exclusive fashion affair.

The prestigious Hôtel de Crillon in Paris served as the venue for the ball, commonly known as the 'Crillon Ball,' from 1992 to 2012.

Among the debutantes were well-known individuals like Ava Phillippe, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, Lily Collins, along with Hollywood figures such as Ella Beatty, Viola Mikkelsen, and Sophia-Rose Stallone. Notably, Jen Li, the daughter of Huawei's founder, also graced the event.
