Princess Diana is being celebrated on the 25th anniversary of her tragic death, as former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole shared heartwarming anecdote, shedding light on Princess' wit and charm.

Recalling a shopping trip to Harrods, Cole praised Diana's stunning appearance in a Yves St Laurent trouser suit.

In response, Diana playfully acknowledged contributing both 'good looks and height' to the British Royal Family, showcasing her cheeky sense of humor.

Michael Cole also revealed that Princes William and Harry, during their younger years, would spend hours engrossed in video games on the fourth floor of Harrods.

"They did love electronic games, and, of course, Harrods always had all of the latest ones. They didn’t have them at Kensington Palace, which was only about 2 miles away, so they would come to the fourth floor — the toy department," Cole shared.

He also added, "Other children would be competing with them, nobody cared that they were royal princes. They did love that."

With the anniversary prompting reflection, Cole expressed a heartfelt wish for reconciliation between the royal brothers.

He noted Diana's hope that her sons would always have each other's backs, emphasizing the current distance between William and Harry and expressing the belief that Diana would want them to mend fences.

"She always brought them up to be there for each other and she hoped, and she trusted, that they would always have each other’s backs whatever happened throughout life," he shared.

Cole expressed, "and I think if she were looking down now, she would be willing them, somehow, to mend fences, to make amends, to become the brothers they were."
