Taylor Swift's alleged stalker apprehended after persistent attempts to enter NYC building

Taylor Swift's alleged stalker has been apprehended after reportedly attempting to gain access to her New York City building persistently over several weeks.

As per the reports of Page Six, the man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly trying to break into the Anti-Hero crooner’s New York City apartment in Tribeca.

The New York Police Department informed Page Six that they received a report regarding an individual causing a disturbance on Franklin Street.

“Upon arrival, [police] were informed that the individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location,” the public information officer added.

While law enforcement did not officially verify that the individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, was attempting to access Swift's residence, an additional source affirms observing the suspect making efforts to enter her premises.

The one eyewitness said, “I first saw him around 1 p.m. — he went up to Taylor’s door,” adding, “I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell.”

The insider further noted that they had observed the person extensively surveying the neighbourhood, particularly in the vicinity of Swift's residence, for several weeks.

A second informant, residing in close proximity, exclusively informed Page Six that they, too, have seen the same individual, “lurking here for a month.”

It was informed that he has been “sleeping on the stoop, chain-smoking constantly, shouting, and generally making everyone uncomfortable.”

Images acquired by Page Six depict the bearded individual with untidy brown hair undergoing the booking process.

He was dressed in a tan hoodie, khaki pants, a navy blue jacket, and tan gloves.

Law enforcement officials informed us that the apprehension of the suspect occurred due to an existing and unrelated warrant for his arrest. As of now, he has not been released.

It seemed that the Lover singer was still in New York City, likely at her home, when the purported stalker made the attempt to break in.

For the unversed, Swift has been busy in New York, crafting new music in the studio, ahead of her upcoming international Eras Tour in February.

The Grammy-winning artist is familiar with facing stalking incidents in the city; in 2019, Roger Alvarado was arrested for attempting to break into her Tribeca residence.
