Dakota Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live or SNL for the second time and also marked a very special reunion on screen.
During the actress’ monologue on Saturday, January 27, 2024, she was joined on stage by the episode’s musical guest, Justin Timberlake, who recently released his hit track, Selfish.
The duo reminisced about their time they shared the screen back in 2010, for the hit drama, The Social Network.
"Tonight is also a sort of reunion for me and Justin Timberlake," Johnson said during her monologue and further added, "we were actually in a movie together, called The Social Network."
In the film, Timberlake, portrayed the real-life Napster founder and former Facebook President Sean Parker.
The 34-year-old actress starred in the film, alongside Timberlake, in one scene as a young Stanford student who sleeps with Parker and introduces him to Facebook. This movie was Johnson's first onscreen adult role.

"What are you doing up here, are you lost?" Johnson asked the singer, who explained he had heard his voice and thought it was his cue.
The two then had a conversation where Timberlake offered his help in any sketches mentioning that he had previously hosted, which the actress hilariously reminded him "was 10 years ago."
"Anyway, I'm so happy you chose my show for your comeback," Johnson told the singer which induced a slightly confused response from his side to which she clarified that she had "meant that in a good way."
Adding humor to the monologue, the singer said, "OK, I see what this is. This is where we make a joke like, 'First he was bringing sexy back, and now he's bringing coming back,'” much to the delight of the audience, before wishing Johnson good luck.

However, before he could depart the stage, a surprise guest appeared on the SNL stage, who was Jimmy Fallon, dressed as Barry Gibb from The Bee Gees.
“Are we doing it?” he asked, as Timberlake motioned a "cut" signal to the 49-year-old TV show host behind Johnson's back, implying that a planned sketch would now not go ahead.
"I’m here to say, ‘Break a leg’”, Fallon then said, pretending to improvise and added, "these are my normal clothes” as he ran off stage with the singer.
