Khloé Kardashian opens up about being the ‘first call’ for others while avoiding help herself
Despite being a support system for others, Khloé admits that asking for help doesn’t come easy
Khloé Kardashian has opened up about a deeply personal struggle being the go-to support system for others while finding it difficult to seek help for herself.
Speaking on The Morgan Stewart Show, The Kardashians star, 41, revealed that while friends and family often rely on her during tough times, she tends to internalize her own challenges instead of reaching out.
“That’s my problem. That’s what I work on in therapy,” she shared candidly.
Kardashian explained that even when she considers calling her sister, Kim Kardashian, she often talks herself out of it, rationalizing that her sister is too busy balancing multiple responsibilities.
“I’ll say, ‘Kim is studying for the bar. She has four kids. She’s acting,’” Khloé said, adding that she ultimately convinces herself not to “bother” her with issues she feels are temporary. Still, she acknowledged that Kim would likely encourage her to reach out regardless.
Beyond her personal habits, the Good American co-founder also reflected on her ability to read people, claiming she’s often the best “judge of character” among her siblings.
However, she admitted that this instinct doesn’t always apply when it comes to her own romantic relationships.
Kardashian also praised her younger sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, describing them as “realistic and levelheaded,” while noting they’ve grown up more guarded due to being raised in the public eye from a younger age than older siblings like Kim, Kourtney Kardashian and Rob Kardashian.
Reflecting on the family’s rise to fame through Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloé said their perspective on opportunities, particularly brand deals, has evolved over time.
“At the time, there was no thought. It was more like, ‘This is so cool,’” she said, recalling early endorsement offers. “You don’t know how long this is going to last.”
With experience, however, came a shift in mindset.
“Not all money is good money,” Kardashian explained, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and being selective about partnerships. “Our platform is powerful, and we can’t just be doing things to do things.”
Despite acknowledging past missteps, Kardashian said she approaches her journey with understanding rather than regret.
“You grow up and you come to your senses,” she said. “It was an evolution.”
