Dua Lipa affectionately referred to her cameo appearances in the films Barbie and Argylle as her "little baby roles."

While conversing with Time's 100 Most Influential People, the Illusion singer gave insights about her upcoming third studio album, Radical Optimism, and her recent big-screen experiences.

Lipa had a brief cameo in the feature film by Greta Gwig, as Mermaid Barbie and she also appeared in the comedic mystery movie Argylle, portraying the villainous LaGrange.

After landing both roles, the New Rules songstress referred to them as her "little baby roles," according to Time.

She shared, "I loved being on set,” adding, “I love the idea of embodying a different character and having an assignment.”

The Hadouni songstress went on to say, “I also love when I go to a photo shoot, and I can completely change up my look,” adding, “It gives me like a different persona.”

Earlier, in her conversation with Vogue ahead of the film’s July 21, 2023 premiere, she said, “I loved being in the movie because it was just so exciting to be a part of something so special like this with an incredible cast.”

Lipa continued, “I feel lucky that [director] Greta Gerwig asked me to be the mermaid.”

For the unversed, Radical Optimism will be released on May 3.

While Barbie is available to stream on Max, and Argylle is available to stream on Apple TV+.
