Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain bond in new Instagram post

Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain know how to let down their hair.

The two actresses recently came together to bond during a DIY spa routine on what appeared to be an airplane flight.

Both of them posed together for a selfie in face masks, which was posted in a joint Instagram post featuring Hathaway and Chastain’s Instagram handles.

The March 18 post was captioned “Mothers’ calling” which can possibly be a reference to the 2024 movie, Mothers’ Instinct, which both actresses appeared in.

The movie marked a second time that the two actresses have appeared in a film together.

They first co-starred in 2014’s Interstellar, alongside Matthew McConaughey. The Sci-Fi epic was directed by Christopher Nolan. 

Though, they did not share any scenes in the film, the two Oscar winners have boasted a strong friendship ever since.

Hathaway once praised Chastain, calling her “one of the greatest living actresses”, and said that she considers The Help actress a “darling friend”.

In Mothers’ Instinct, she and Chastain play best friends whose friendship takes a bad turn after one of their characters’ sons dies after taking a fall from the balcony.

When the two came together to make the film, Chastain even admitted that she found it “difficult” to play antagonising charcaters against each other due to their great off-screen relationship.

“Thank God Annie and I love each other, so it’s a little different than that experience,” Chastain had revealed.
