Rachel Zegler reveals how Ariana Grande helped her during tough times

Snow White star Rachel Zegler gushed about the Wicked star Ariana Grande as she revealed the pop-star came forward with support amid continuous backlash from the public over the casting of Disney’s live-action remake. 

After being cast as 'Snow-White', the 23-year-old American actress of Polish and Latina descent was bombarded with hateful messages and snarky comments all over social media.

There were several complaints about the actress not matching the character’s description of having "skin as white as snow."

During an interview with Allure magazine for its March cover story, the Golden Globe Award winner reflected on the situation and mentioned celebrities who were kind enough to show their support for the young actress.

Rachel name dropped Ariana as one of the actresses who consoled her, sharing, "She reached out to me and was like, 'If you need anything, I am here.' She is so deeply kind."

"She has gone through so much in the public eye, and I have always really, really admired her courage in the face of all of that," she explained further.

The West Side Story actress also went on to name The Good Place alum Jameela Jamil who also showed kindness towards her, and described her as "a big sister."

She went on to shower the 39-year-old British Actress with compliments and praise, crediting her for her supportive behaviour.

"I love that she has no regrets about being outspoken, about being strong-willed and strong-minded."
