Meghan Trainor opens up about her dream job

Meghan Trainor recently admitted that she wants to work as a judge on American Idol.

The All About That Bass singer is married to Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara and has two children, Riley, four, and 22-month-old Barry, with him.

She said that it is her "dream" to find a job that would allow her to go and be back within the same day.

According to her, a slot on the ABC talent show would be perfect for her.

The Me Too singer told Parade magazine, "It's my dream job. My dream is to drive to work and then do something musically and then drive home, you know?"

Right now, the judging panel of American Idol consists of Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie alongside former winner Carrie Underwood.

Underwood replaced Katy Perry for the 23rd season and Meghan said that it "made sense" for the Remind Me songstress to join the lineup.

She shared, "But Carrie Underwood got it, and I was like, ‘If anyone's gonna get it, I hope it's her.' I was like, ‘Duh.' So I wasn't totally crushed when I didn't get it, but I [thought], this makes sense."

For the unversed, American Idol is currently in its 23rd season.
