Brad Pitt recently shared his honest thoughts about working on a racing movie ahead of the release of his highly anticipated sports drama, F1 – The Movie.

The 61-year-old actor revealed that starring in a racing-themed film had been a longtime dream of his, something he had thought about for decades.

He also shared that he had always wanted to work with director Joseph Kosinski, who brought the idea for F1 during the actual season and placed the actors inside real cars.

During the official global press conference held in Mexico City, Pitt noted, "For me, it was just a no-brainer when [Joseph Kosinski] had this audacious plan to embed us in the racing season, to put us actually in the cars."

"It was just a dream come true," the Fight Club actor said, adding, "I've been trying to do a racing film for literally decades. And whether it was on bikes or whether it was in cars, for whatever reason, it just didn't pan out."

Later, Pitt extended his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to lead the film. He remarked, "I'm so grateful because the experience Joe gave us, putting us in the car, putting us in this ecosystem of the F1 racing season, with all the drivers, with the teams, was just an extraordinary experience."

It is worth mentioning that the Seven performer has worked on numerous action-packed films, but he described F1 as "nothing like I've ever experienced in all my decades doing this."

To note, Brad Pitt's starrer F1 is slated for release on June 27, 2025.
