Blake Lively reacts to legal loss: ‘This isn’t the outcome I expected’
Sources say the actress feels her story 'isn’t being fully heard' following the courtroom defeat
Blake Lively is reportedly “devastated” after a federal judge dismissed her harassment claims against actor and director Justin Baldoni, but sources say the actress is prepared to fight on.
U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman issued a 152-page ruling on Thursday, ending over a year of contentious litigation related to the movie in which Lively and Baldoni co-starred, and which Baldoni directed.
Entertainment expert Rob Shuter told insiders that Lively is struggling with the outcome.
“She’s devastated. This is not the outcome she expected,” a source said. “She feels like her story isn’t being fully heard.”
Despite the setback, Lively is reportedly determined to continue pursuing her claims. “Blake is not quitting. She’s digging in,” the insider added.
One of Lively’s attorneys told Reuters that she “looks forward to testifying” and intends to demonstrate the efforts made to damage her reputation “because she stood up for safety on the set.”
Baldoni’s legal team, meanwhile, expressed satisfaction with the dismissal.
All claims against Baldoni and the five individual defendants have been thrown out, and the parties continue to deny any wrongdoing.
