Taylor Swift’s beau’s dad makes surprising comments about her

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, shared his true feelings about the pop sensation and what it's like to know her.

Speaking to the Daily Mail on Monday, July 21, Ed candidly revealed that  being around the 35-year-old musician feels "surreal."

"It borders on the surreal," he told the publication.

He added, "There's no ifs, ands or buts about that ... it's pretty crazy when you stop and think about it."

However, the first time the Blank Space hitmaker visited Travis at his home about two years ago, Ed did not recognise her.

 Over time, though, he has become familiar with her and finds her a "very special person."

"She is a very special person. One of the most giving and caring people I've ever met," he remarked.

Earlier this month, Ed spent some quality time with Travis and his oldest son, Jason Kelce, during their time in California for the American Century Championship.

Previously in 2023, the Kansas City tight end’s father spoke to PEOPLE about his first impression of Swift when they met at a suite at Arrowhead Stadium during a game.

"I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her," he said at the time.

Ed continued, "We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can."

"And I'm just thinking, I don't think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot," he gushed about the Cardigan songstress.

It is worth noting that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been romantically involved since the summer of 2023.
