Pedro Pascal is playing Mister Fantastic in the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' film

Pedro Pascal’s casting as Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, in the The Fantastic Four: The First Steps sparked major enthusiastic reactions in his family, but some relatives seemed to have found it difficult to contain their excitement about his entry into the Marvel world.
Talking to People, the 50-year-old Chilean and American actor revealed how his nephew reacted to the news of him joining the cast of the Action/Superhero movie.
"My nephews' lost it," he playfully stated. "They couldn't believe it."
Recalling the heartfelt moment, the Materialists actor shared, "They were like, 'Are you serious?' And I was excited because it’s the Fantastic Four!"
He also noted that his younger brother Nicolás, who has been a long time fan of the comics, was especially happy to see him take on a fantastic role.
The upcoming film, which is set to hit the theaters on July 25, 2025, is packed with a star-studded cast and includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
