Black Sabbath members paid emotional tribute to Ozzy Osbourne after his passing at 76, celebrating their lifelong friendship and musical bond.

Black Sabbath members, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, each shared heartfelt social media posts on Tuesday, July 22 reflecting on their time with Ozzy.


Guitarist Tony expressed his emotions noting, “I just can’t believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It’s such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother. My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family. Rest in peace Oz.”


While Bassist Geezer penned an emotional farewell to the late singer recalling their reunion show in Birmingham writing, "Goodbye dear friend, so glad we got to do it one last time, back in Aston. Love you."

Drummer Bill also shared an emotional tribute in which he wrote, "Where will I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken embraces, our missed phone calls." 

"No, you’re forever in my heart. Deepest condolences to Sharon and all family members. RIP. Sincere regrets to all the fans. Never goodbye. Thank you forever.” he added.


The band’s last show with Ozzy took place at Villa Park, where they performed four songs including iconic tracks Paranoid and Iron Man in a farewell concert that will be released as a concert film in 2026.

Black Sabbath’s frontman Ozzy Osbourne’s family confirmed his death news, and he passed away at the age of 76.
