In a surprising turn of events, Pete Davidson came forward and shared his concerns about losing his edge in comedy due to his sobriety.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, on July 22, the 31-year-old American comedian and actor didn’t hesitate from talking about his concerns about sobriety affecting his stand-up.

When asked if being sober had an impact on his comedy, the Saturday Night Live alum quickly quipped, "That's what I was nervous about because I was like maybe I'm not very good, or maybe I was so high, I thought I was good."

"You were like, ‘I want to see if I really did this?’ I have pictures, but I don't know," the 50-year-old host playfully piled on.

However, the Bodies Bodies Bodies actor went on to admit that now that he is sober, he is far more 'sharp and aware.'

"I'm weirdly sharper and more aware, so it's more fun," Pete said.

"Enjoying it more," Jimmy noted, and the Dog Man actor agreed, "Yeah, when people laugh, you feel it as opposed to just sitting so high."

Earlier this year, Pete confessed to People that he had been on his sobriety journey since September 2024.
