Netflix details future of fan favourite series 'Wednesday'

Netflix isn’t done with Nevermore just yet, as it has officially given one of its iconic series Wednesday the green light for a third season, prior to the release of its second season.
Starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in the supernatural comedy, there are rumours of a spin-off series of the Tim Burton-exec produced show, which was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer hinted at potential spin-offs set in the same universe, saying, "There's a lot to explore in the Addams Family."
With season two set to hit the audience’s screens on August 6, the streaming giant’s decision comes after record-breaking popularity of the first season, which garnered more than 250 million views.
The show’s success didn’t just end here, it also earned 12 Emmy nominations, including for Ortega in Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
It is safe to say the series, which is is packed with a star-studded cast like the 22-year-old actress, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Luis Guzmán, and Joy Sunday, is among Netflix’s biggest hits to date.
Jenna takes the lead as the witty Wednesday Addams, whose scary piranha prank causes her to get expelled from her previous school and lands her in a private school of supernatural outcasts.
The upcoming season is set to release in two parts on August 6 and September 3.
