Jason Momoa has taken a bold stance on his teenage son Nakoa-Wolf Momoa’s career.

Speaking to Extra at the Hawaii premiere of Apple TV+’s Chief of War, the 45-year-old star made it clear that he didn’t pull strings to secure his 16-year-old son’s role in Dune: Part Three.

"A rude awakening is what he’s in for," A Minecraft Movie actor firmly told the outlet about his son who is stepping into the film industry.

Continuing, "He’s into the workforce for the first time. It’s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and it's good for him."

"You want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is," he added.

In June, it was revealed that the Aquaman actor’s son and Lisa Bonet had landed a role in the third installment of the film series, joining Silo star Ida Brooke.

He  went on to proudly talk about his son, saying, "I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age. There’s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on ‘Baywatch’ at 19. He’s 16 and holding shit down with Denis Villeneuve."

It is pertinent to note, although he skipped out on Dune: Part Two, Jason is set to reprise his role Duncan Idaho in the upcoming sequel to Denis Villeneuve‘s epic sci-fi saga.
