Ed Sheeran recalls scariest fan encounters involving his daughters

Ed Sheeran has recently opened up about some frightening fan encounters involving his children, which have left him deeply disturbed.

Speaking to Australia’s 60 Minutes on Sunday, the 34-year-old British crooner shared that he employs extensive security measures due to the constant threats he receives form dangerous fans.

"It's things that people don't really even take into account," Sheeran said.

The Shape of You hitmaker added, "Like kidnap threats... We've had attempted break-ins; things left on my car."

He pointed out that it is "way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies."

However, Sheeran reiterated that his family always needs high protection.

"We have a level of security that probably won't change until I pass away. That's just our life now," the Perfect singer stated.

Elsewhere in the interview, he shared that he's immensely protective of his daughter's privacy and never consents to fans taking pictures with them.

"I have had some real arguments before," Sheeran continued.

He further admitted that while he has no problem taking pictures himself, he finds it extremely odd when his fans want to capture selfies with his two four-year-old and three-year-old daughters.

Though the  Sapphire singer  went on to acknowledge that this is part of being in the public eye.

"To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad," he stated.

However, Sheeran added that he "definitely wants a more normal life for my kids."
