In Hollywood, nothing stirs up drama quite like a celebrity feud. It’s the kind of drama that seems like it naturally clings to the world of entertainment.

Be it actors feuding over roles to musicians racing to be on the number one spot on the charts, or directors and stars clashing over creative differences, the entertainment industry never seems to run out of rivalries.

Sometimes it is nothing more than just playful tension and is lighthearted. However, other times their feud gets so big, they fail to keep their dispute away from the public’s eye and the world can’t help but watch.

Here are some of the most shocking celebrity feuds: 

Beckhams’ family

It seems like family tensions were brewing for the Beckhams after David Beckham’s glamorous birthday celebration.

The Beckhams have built a reputation for being a picture perfect family, always united, supportive family who show up for each other at major gatherings.

But the first cracks began to show during Brooklyn and Nicola Beckham’s wedding preparations.

As the wedding approached, Victoria Beckham, English fashion designer and wife of English former professional footballer and now mother in law to Nicola Peltz had reportedly offered to design her daughter in law’s wedding dress, but was declined.

The story spread fast, making headlines, but Nicola was quick to address the situation and shut down the rumours while talking to Variety, saying, "I was going to wear Victoria Beckham and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that"

However, signs of a rift between the family have emerged this year when Brooklyn and Nicola were missing from several gatherings including Victoria and David Beckham’s birthday parties.

Speculation about the feud intensified when a source came forward and told The Mirror that David felt "hurt" when the duo didn’t show up at the family events.

As months went by, subtle online posts seemed to reveal which side each person was on, and Brooklyn for his part stood by his partner’s side and is setting some boundaries and drawing clear lines with his family.

The Rock and Vin Diesel

When two of the most known action stars lock horns, it is expected to cause a media stir. Just ask Dwayne Johnson, who also goes by ‘The Rock,’ and Vin Diesel.

The two action legends of Hollywood starred together in The Fate of the Furious in 2017.

The drama began in 2016, on the set of The Fate of the Furious. Fueled by creative differences and personality clashes, the 53-year-old actor had openly slammed "unnamed" cast members, who was later confirmed to be Vin for alleged unprofessional behaviour.

Their feud hit new heights once it was revealed that they had shot scenes on separate schedules to avoid crossing paths and keep away from each other.

During his interviews, the Jumanji starrer didn’t hesitate to open up about their working relationship, citing Vin’s "tough love" approach for his frustration.

Although there were moments when the pair seemed to have reconciled, tensions seemed to rise again when Dwayne stepped back from the franchise to be a part of Hobbs & Shaw.

But in 2023, Johnson announced that he would be returning to the film series again, leading many to believe that the two have finally buried the hatchet, at least professionally. 

Will Smith and Chris Rock

Among Hollywood rivalries, few have been so public like Will Smith and Chris Rock’s, with the 2022 Oscars going down in history for the 56-year-old actor’s on-stage slap after the Grown Ups actor’s joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia.

The aftermath of the slap resulted in the Bad Boys actor not only receiving an award for Best Actor but also being barred from the Oscars for a decade.

The shocking incident sparked a major stir online.

Will Smith endured considerable backlash and despite a public apology was issued by the Aladdin starrer, the feud still remains unresolved.  

Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson

After Zayn Malik’s unexpected departure from One Direction, tensions began to rise between him and his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who at the time was still a member of the beloved band.

The 32-year-old English singer’s exit from the band was anything but smooth as soon after leaving he didn’t hesitate from criticizing the music they had created together.

Buzzfeed had reported that back in May 2015, that the two had a heated chat on Twitter, now X, after the 33-year-old English singer took a jab at a photo of his former bandmate.

The way the Pillow Talk hitmaker had reacted and fired back suggested that his parting with the band wasn’t as peaceful or friendly as he had initially let on.

"Louis Tomlinson, remember when you had a life and stopped making b****y comments about mine?

The tension lingered into 2016, when Louis Tomlinson welcomed his baby. Zayn liked the photo of the newborn but later in an interview admitted that they weren’t on "talking on friend terms."

During his appearance on Capital FM’s Breakfast Show, he shared, "I wish him the best of luck. His kid is cute as f*** so obviously I favorited it.We’re not talking on friend terms obviously, so that’s as far as I can go, by favoriting his picture."

However, after this past ordeal it appears that now Zayn and Louis may have reconciled after their former bandmate Liam Payne’s death.

Signs of a possible friendship emerged when Zayn followed the Bigger Than Me singer on Instagram.

Louis was also spotted at one of Zayn’s concerts. The duo also reportedly had an interaction at Liam’s funeral.

T.J. Miller and Ryan Reynolds

On screen, Deadpool was all about humor, but behind the scenes it wasn’t always like that.

T.J. Miller, who played the sarcastic Weasal on the fan favourite movie, didn’t hold back while talking about his experience working with Ryan Reynolds, having less pleasant things to say about the 48-year-old actor.

Miller even accused Ryan of being "mean" during filming, a comment that sparked major fan reaction online.

However, the feud didn’t last long, because the 44-year-old actor revealed that they had buried the hatchet and clarified that it was a misunderstanding and the two seem to be on good terms.

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan

In a shocking turn of events, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan went from inseparable friends to having a soured bond fast, leading to feud no one expected to last for years.

The rift is said to have started in 2006, when the Mean Girls star was rumoured to be romantically involved with Paris’ former partner, setting off many snide remarks, scandalous headlines and more.

They spent a long time throwing shade at each other, but eventually the drama subsided, leaving their feud in the past.

Paris even admitted that the bad blood between them is now behind them, officially closing the chapter of one of Hollywood’s early 2000s rivalry.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj

The female rap game is known for how fierce and competitive it is, but when Nicki Minaj and Cardi B stepped into the spotlight at the same time, the tension caught fire fast.

Their beef is traced back to subtle shots in songs, competitive fanbases, all helped fan the flames of their feud.

At Harper's Bazaar Icon party, the Bodak Yellow hitmaker allegedly threw a show at the Super Bass singer during a New York Fashion Week event in 2018.

A month after the shocking incident, the 32-year-old rapper didn’t shy away from speaking out about the reported feud.

Talking to W Magazine, she said, "For a while now she's been taking a lot of shots at me."

"I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going."
