There are many types of cancer and treatment varies depending on the type and stage as early detection and treatment can significantly improve outcomes.

Many celebrities have been affected by cancer using their platforms to rase awareness and support research.

Let’s take a look at few celebs who have suffered with neck cancers:

Eddie Money

The legendary star, who is famous for his hit song Two Tickets to Paradise, discovered that he had stage 4 esophageal cancer during a routine checkup.

His cancer had already spread to his liver and lymph nodes as the Walk on Water singer passed away in September 2019 at 70, just weeks after sharing his diagnosis publicly.

He was open about his illness choosing to document it on his reality TV show Real Money to raise awareness and be honest with his fans.

Michael Douglas, renowned actor and producer was diagnosed with stage 4 oral cancer in 2010.

Initially, the Falling Down actor attributed his symptoms to stress, smoking and drinking but later revealed that the cancer was likely caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) which he contracted through oral sex as HPV is a common sexually transmitted virus that is now recognized as a leading cause of throat and tongue cancers.

Michael underwent aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment which he described as grueling.

Despite losing 20 Kgs and facing significant challenges as the Wall Street star emerged cancer-free by 2011.

Today, Michael Douglas advocates for HPV awareness and vaccination emphasizing the importance of education and prevention in combating cancer.
