‘Trump fest’ underway: King Charles prepares shocking spectacle ahead of President’s state visit
Check out everything you need to know about the royal family hosting Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump is set to touch down in the UK for a planned three day state visit, between September 17 and 19.
The upcoming tour is reportedly being catered to showcase great pomp, pertaining to which The Telegraph has termed it a “Trump fest”.
“The US president, who in April described the upcoming visit as a ‘fest’, is to be flattered with a large turnout from the British Armed Forces, a private carriage tour from the King and Queen and a highly unusual state visit flypast,” the outlet further noted.

Significance
One of the most significant things to know about Trump’s visit is that this is the second time he has been invited to tour the country as a head of state — a notably unprecedented feat in history.
While it is important to note that through this trip, PM Keir Starmer is also counting on the Crown’s glamour as he hopes “that hosting a US president — with all the King’s Guards, red carpets and palace banquets that it will entail — would broadcast strength and competence”(per NBC News), since his country is particularly torn between hostile far-right display and the royal family’s own issues regarding their rift with Prince Harry and the reemergence of Prince Andrew’s case with Jeffrey Epstein — an affair which also plagues Trump’s image.
Agenda
The President, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, will be hosted at Windsor Castle for the duration of his trip.
While there are no events planned for the visit’s first day, the presidential couple will be hosted by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate on Wednesday — the day they are also scheduled to be presented a guard of honour as well as undertake a visit to Queen Elizabeth’s memorial in St George’s Chapel.
On Thursday, whereas Trump is set to visit Starmer’s country retreat, his wife will stay at Windsor to take a tour of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ house and the Royal Library before joining the President.
Precautions
Considering that there is public knowledge about a number of planned protests awaiting Trump’s arrival in the UK, the royal family and British establishment are planning on keeping their guests away from Central London.
“And any overt talk of politics will be verboten with the royals, who studiously avoid the subject,” reported CNN.
