Hit TV shows returning for another season in 2025

Not only are there many TV shows to choose from, but there are several different platforms releasing shows.

With so many streaming services releasing shows, some are bound to face some cancellations and there is nothing worse than falling in love with a show only to find out it’s cancelled.

So here is a list of some shows that have been renewed for the next season:

Stranger Things

Stranger Things had been renewed for a fifth and final season in 2022.

The Science fiction/thriller/mystery series that aired back in 2016 will be coming to an end in 2025.

The upcoming installment is expected to be released on Netflix in three parts, with the first four episodes premiering on November 26, followed by three more on December 25, with the grand finale dropping right before the New Year, on December 31, keeping fans hooked till the end. 

Abbott Elementary

Abbott Elementary was also renewed for its fifth season by ABC in early 2025.

But fans will be delighted to know that they don’t have to wait long for their favourite sitcom to hit their screens as it will be premiering on October 1st. 

Only Murders in the Building

Back in September 2024, it was confirmed that the beloved comedy/mystery series will be coming to the audience’s screens.

It welcomes back Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short on the show, with new cast this season, including Logan Lerman, Téa Leoni, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Keegan-Michael Key and more.

It aired on September 9 with episodes releasing every week and is set to have a total of 10 episodes for fans to enjoy.
