Kate Middleton’s Magical Day Out: Royals Visit the New Harry Potter TV Set

Kate Middleton and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, had a spellbinding day when they visited the set of the upcoming Harry Potter television series on Friday, September 26.

According to the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales made the family trip happen while Prince William was away in Scotland visiting King Charles.

Here’s a look at the most magical highlights from their visit:

1. A royal day at Hogwarts

Kate and her children got exclusive access to the Harry Potter set, where they met the young stars and director Mark Mylod.

“Kate and the children met the young actors and the director on the set. There was only one night of filming there, so it really was a magical ticket,” a source told Daily Mail.

2. Meeting the next Generation of wizards

The royal trio were introduced to Dominic McLaughlin who will play Harry Potter), Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.

The insider called the experience “so special,” marking a once in a lifetime chance for George, Charlotte, and Louis to connect with the future faces of Hogwarts.

3. Prince Louis’ Hogwarts Express Adventure

Perhaps the biggest highlight? Prince Louis, 7, got to step aboard the legendary Hogwarts Express.

“He seemed to absolutely love it. It's the dream for most children to step aboard the Hogwarts Express,” the on-set source revealed.

4. The Royals’ Longtime Love for Harry Potter

The visit wasn’t the family’s first brush with the wizarding world. Back in 2013, a then-pregnant Kate and William toured Warner Bros. Studio in London, and they even engaged in a playful wand duel and exploring Diagon Alley with Prince Harry.

5. Storytime Magic from King Charles and Queen Camilla

The royal household’s Harry Potter fandom goes beyond Kate and William. Queen Camilla once shared on The Queen’s Reading Room Podcast that she and King Charles enjoy reading the books to the Wales children.

“I can’t mimic voices for love or money… But my husband, he does it brilliantly. He can do all the voices,” she admitted.

6. A New Era for Harry Potter Fans

The HBO series promises to reintroduce Hogwarts in a fresh way, with each season adapting one book.

Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max, said, “We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way.”
