Prince Harry pushes for royal reconciliation as Meghan holds back

Prince Harry is reportedly doing his best to repair relations with the royal family and insiders suggest lasting progress won’t come without Meghan Markle’s participation.

According to Radar Online, King Charles is eager to see both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex actively engaged in reconciliation.

A senior aide explained, “Harry is making every effort to set the stage, but eventually Meghan will need to engage. If she stays out of it, it gives the impression she’s quietly directing things behind the scenes – precisely the palace's biggest concern.”

Harry has privately told friends that he wants peace because “life is too short for family drama.”

Yet, Meghan is said to feel that the palace has not taken responsibility for past grievances. 

“The King wants assurance that both of them are committed, not only Harry,” the source added.

Another royal insider described Harry’s situation as “delicate,” noting that he is eager to reconcile but caught in the middle.

“Unless she chooses to get involved, Harry will remain struggling to appease both sides and feeling as though he’s falling short with each,” the insider revealed.
