Being a parent often means learning how to multitask and actress Karen Gillan has taken that to a whole new level.

The Hollywood star revealed that she managed to write a screenplay while taking care of her newborn daughter.

Karen best known for her role in Guardians of the Galaxy, welcomed baby Clementine last December with her husband American comedian Nick Kocher.

Now, the Scottish actress has given a glimpse into how she juggles her career with motherhood.

In the early weeks after giving birth when her daughter only sleeps while being held, the Jumanji: The Next Level star used the time to get creative.

Karen shared, “I’ve written a pilot for television in that haze because I didn’t figure out how to put the baby into the crib so it was all contact naps.”

The actress added, “So I was like what can I do right now to pass the time? I know I’ll create something. I was trying to type and then I was doing it on my phone and then I was like I’ll just have it in my head and then get it out one the baby is not on me.”

However, the project she worked on is still under wraps but she did hint at what’s to come, saying, “It is probably going to be the biggest undertaking of my life and I can’t really talk about it right now but it is the horror space. It will be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

Now living in Los Angeles, the former Doctor Who star also shared a funny thought about her daughter’s future accent she thinks that her daughter will have American accent, Karen said, “She’s going to be like Hey mom and I’ll be like its mum.”

During a conversation with Virgin Radio’s Ryan Tubridy, the mother-of-one spoke about how fame affects her daily life. When asked if she can walk around London unnoticed, she said, “I can.”

Moreover, she added that it’s a different story back in her hometown, the 37-year-old explained, “I can’t get round my hometown, Inverness, because that’s a smaller place and people are much more aware of me but I get around New York City fine.”
