A member of the Royal family, who is also one of Prince William and Harry’s aunts, is now recovering from a serious fall from her horse.

The late Princess Diana’s older sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, was left injured after a severe fall last month.

The shocking incident came to light on October 24, after her brother Charles Spencer opened up about it while chatting on the Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast.

Reflecting on the accident, he shared "She's still riding, and she’s had a really bad fall last month and has been in hospital for a long time."

“I think, (she) was quite a handful as a patient, because the lead doctor said to my brother-in-law, ‘She’s quite a character isn’t she?’" the 61-year-old said, referring to Sarah's husband Neil McCorquodale. "Which I think is code for, ‘Could you take her home?’"

Also reminiscing about their childhood, Charles revealed his sister was "always in trouble" when they were growing up at the family's stately home, Althorp.

In a lighthearted moment, he also shared how Lady Sarah once "rode her horse into the hall" of their home after an argument with their father.
