Ethan Slater gushes over Ariana Grande’s performance in ‘Wicked: For Good’

Ethan Slater praised his girlfriend, Ariana Grande's performance in their upcoming film, Wicked: For Good.

In an interview with Extra at the film's New York premiere, the 33-year-old actor gushed about Grande's talent, saying, "Ariana's performance is out of this world and Cynthia’s performance is unbelievable."

Slater, who appears in the film, also went on to praise his other movie costars, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum for their performances as well, saying, "And Johnny is so beautiful, and Michelle and Jeff."

The Spongebob Musical star continued, “I got to work with Marissa [Bode], you know, from this close away for this whole movie and yet getting to see her on the big screen, it's just so moving."

"I'm so proud of this movie and it’s so different from the first one and yet it feels like the obvious true continuation of it," he expressed his pride for the film.

The actor and singer also spoke about Grande's friendship with co-star Cynthia Erivo, saying, “They really do just communicate off camera even more than they do on camera."

He added, “I think that that's what makes their friendship really beautiful to witness is the ways that they help each other through… the craziness of this."

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater first linked up on the set of Wicked in late 2022, while the couple publicly confirmed their relationship in 2023.

For the unversed, Wicked: For Good is set to release on November 21.
