‘Stranger Things’ star David Harbour addresses his faults after Lily Allen separation
The 'Stranger Things' star and Lilly Allen parted their ways after four years of marriage in 2025
David Harbour, best known for portraying Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, recently spoke about his attraction to “flawed” people, noting striking similarities between his personal experience and those of his famous character.
While promoting the fifth and final series of the Netflix hit series, the 50-year-old actor highlighted the parallels he shares with Hopper.
Discussing his character alongside Millie Bobby Brown’s, Harbour said, “You know, there are two people that are both lost, that are both heroic, sometimes beyond their capabilities, that both have such big, broad, deep hearts.”
He added, “They are both deeply flawed in how they express themselves and make tons of mistakes. That is right up my alley. I love playing characters like that. I love human beings like that. I love humanity."
These comments came shortly after Harbour and his ex-wife, Lily Allen, went their separate ways following four years of marriage, confirming their split in February 2025.
The former couple met through a dating app, began dating in 2019, and tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020.
Recently, David Harbour has been accused of infidelity and betrayal in Lily Allen’s latest album, West End Girl.
