Prince Harry will have his security needs reviewed for the first time since 2019
Prince Harry is reportedly feeling vindicated regarding the announcement of his security’s reassessment by Ravec.
A source close to the Duke of Sussex told the Daily Mail that he feels the review is “long overdue” at this point, while another insider revealed that his gradually improving relations with King Charles may have influenced the decision.
“This review could be a reflection of improved relations between the monarch and his son,” the source claimed, while adding that Charles is not believed to be “directly involved in decisions about security.”
“There are representatives of the Royal Household on Ravec alongside police and Home Office officials. So it’s possible that the courtiers on the committee have influenced the decision to order a review after the slight thawing of relations between the King and Harry,” it was further shared.
The announcement regarding Prince Harry’s security review was followed by earlier reports that he had written to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood seeking the decision — a few months after the loss of his legal challenge against the British government in May.
