Hugh Jackman offers major update about Wolverine’s future
Australian actor addresses his return as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool” movie
Hugh Jackman recently dropped major hint about the possible return of Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Australian actor finally explained why he returned to the role of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine movie during his conversation with Wicked: For Good star Cynthia Erivo for Variety & CNN’s Actors on Actors series.
Hugh admitted that he “doesn’t feel like the end” when it comes to playing Wolverine - a famous character in the X-Men movies.
However, the actor pointed out, “It really felt like the end after Logan.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Hugh revealed that he wanted to “claim it as the end, because I really believed in some things that I wanted that movie to be, and I had to fight for them”.
Prisoners actor later said that he had to say, “This is the last time I’m doing it.”
Nevertheless, Hugh mentioned that after he saw Deadpool, he was “like, ‘Oh. I see ‘48 Hrs.’ I see Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte… and I would shove it down”.
Van Helsing actor recalled telling everyone that he’s done with Wolverine after Logan but then he took up the role in the Shawn Levy directed movie.
“I’m not one of those guys… I went, ‘You know what? I change my mind. It’s not that big of a deal. I’m not even gonna say I’m sorry,” stated Hugh.
The actor continued, “It was so awesome.”
Meanwhile, Hugh will next be seen in Song Sung Blue, which will release in theatres on December 25.
